The explosion of food service trucks in the region is about to get a whole lot sweeter. Cupcake is joining the convoy, bringing their new Cupcake Mobile to the Charleston area. Their mission: “Delivering Happiness” to area homes and businesses.
Cupcake Mobile will roll out by mid-February, making cupcake deliveries in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area. The charge for delivery will be $8, with a minimum purchase of a dozen cupcakes. The decked-out delivery truck will also roam local streets, giving away free cupcakes during the bakery’s popular Power Hours. Power Hours are announced on Facebook and Twitter, and those announcements will now include the exact location of the Cupcake Mobile. The Cupcake Mobile will also be available for birthday parties and local area events.
Cupcake will continue to operate three stores, purveying mega, regular and mini cupcakes, t-shirts, aprons and more. Stores are located at 433 King Street, Charleston, Belle Hall Shopping Center in Mount Pleasant and at 1213 Lincoln Street in Columbia. Store owner, Kristin Kuhlke Cobb, is also opening a new store – Chocolate Moose – in Greenville.
